WHO AM I

I’m drawn to places, moments and conditions that make us feel small, alive and fully present; such as at the top of a mountain, deep in a forest or by the ocean.

Photography has mostly given me a good excuse to go and see what’s out there. I explore, I discover, I wait, I try again, and sometimes, everything falls into place.

Convinced of the benefits of movement and the outdoors, I hope my images inspire you to get outside, move, explore and sometimes step outside your comfort zone.

The feeling of being small in the face of something immense.

I like placing people in their environment, playing with proportions and showing the full scale of a place.

MOTION

The moment that lasts only a fraction of a second.

A movement, a trajectory, a gesture, a wave, a descent. Being there at the right moment and knowing how to react.

LIGHT

The light that changes everything.

The light that appears for just a few seconds, transforms a landscape and gives an image its atmosphere.

EVERY IMAGE IS AN ENCOUNTER, NEVER AN INTRUSION

Photographing wild places, wildlife and the cultures around me also means respecting them.

I favour a discreet and responsible approach, allowing places and subjects to simply be what they are. The image should never come before the experience, the place or the life within it.
